More Testing on the L'Hiver Kit

My favourite tester has been busy again and just posted her latest test sample:

Isn't it ever so cute? I love the design she's created. Really sweet.

New Designs for Goth Scrap(K)it

Here are some of the designs that will go in the 'Goth' Scrap(K)it. I haven't quite decided on a name for it yet, but here's a sneak preview of the designs:

I  was so pleased with the designs that I made them available as both prints (greeting cards, posters, framed or matted prints etc) and t-shirts. Check out my MagpieMagic blog for more info.

The kit will be a kit of halves - half of it will be traditional old fashioned Gothic art and the other half more edgy new Goth. I am having great fun with this kit. :-)

On another note, the L'Hiver kit is almost ready to be included in my Etsy shop, however my tester had computer problems.... :-( Hopefully, it'll be in the shop at the end of the weekend.

L'Hiver - Winter Scrap(K)it Testing Results

My lovely tester from over on Piquant Purls has gone through a rigorous testing of the latest kit and you can see the results here.

She also made a lovely digital card during the test which shows you some more of the elements you get with the kit.

I think she entered it into a contest as well, so finger crossed her card wins. :-)

The kit will be available in my Etsy shop in the next couple of days. Price is the same as for the Papillion kit. ($12.00)

New Etsy Shop

Check out my new Etsy shop here.

The first of the kits 'Papillion' should be available later today. The second kit L'Hiver will follow soon - probably sometime at the weekend. It's more or less finished but will need to be tested.

Here are some samples created with the new kit:

L'Hiver - Winter Scrap(K)it - Taster

Here's a taster of the latest Scrap(K)it I am working on:

L'Hiver - Winter scenes.

Rather than design a Christmas set I wanted to create something that is more versatile and will work for various religions and belief systems; seasonal, rather than Christmas-only.

So here's a taster of what's to come. The kit will include not just one set of five colour patterns but two sets of five colour-coordinated patterns. I've chosen ice cream colours with a 50s feel to the designs.

The second set is a play on snowflakes. The snowflakes themselves are brushes I created specifically for this kit. The colours in these more abstract/ornamental patterns coordinate with the patterns of the first set. This should make designing scrapbooking pages and greeting cards fun and easy.

The kit is not ready yet as I still have to do the transparency patterns, the frames and the stamps.

Feel free to send me suggestions of things you'd like to see in this or other kits.

I will also offer a Christmas pattern add-on kit that will be free with every purchase in November and December. Hopefully, by the end of October 2 kits will be ready for you to buy - either fromt his blog or from my new Etsy shop (when I've opened it, LOL).

Each kit will be around $12 (or £7.50).

Tried and Tested

Just had feedback from my personal tester: Nunt at PiquantPurls

Nunt tested the new Papillion kit and I am over the moon that with a few tiny tweaks it will be ready for selling. :-)

Read the test report here.

Just a sneak preview of her cards before you leave this blog:

This one has been made with the patterns/frames/stamps printed out and modified.

This one has been produced digitally.

I am currently working on a Christmas kit and trying to avoid the usual images/patterns and produce something more interesting that can be used not just for Christmas but for other occasions too.

Sneak Preview - Papillion Scrap(K)it

The first Scrap(K)it is almost ready:

Here's a sampler with all of the patterns, all of the stamps, but only one of the frames. Another can be seen in the sample card further down.

The kit includes five frames - a heart shaped one, an oval one, an L shaped one, a rectangular frame and a leaf shaped frame (as can be seen in the sample card at the bottom).

All the files will be high resolution to allow you to customise them to your needs.

Here's the sample card: it uses one of the black and white patterns in the background, the leaf shaped frame with a coloured pattern inside it and one of the butterfly stamps.

If you want to be the first to know when the new kit comes out, send me an e-mail and I'll inform you right away or just click on the 'Follow' button on the left.

Now it just needs to be tested..........

Update

I've almost finished the Butterfly kit and it'll be ready for testing in the next few days. I'll post some preview pictures then, too. The other collections are coming on alongside it.

There will be Art Nouveau and Art Deco collections, a Grunge and Goth collections, a Christmas collection, and a Fleur collection. I have some others planned as well as add-on collections to existing ones, plus corners, borders and swirls and curls.

.... watch this space. :-)

All New Blog!

A new venture and an all new blog to go with it. :-)

I'll be publishing my own kits of patterns, digi stamps, and frames within the next month, once they're all finished and ready and have been tested by Nunt over on PiquantPurls.

  • The kits will include around 5 coloured and 5 black & white patters, five frames, and five stamps, all matching a theme. The first pack will be 'Butterflies' and should be extremely pretty and fun. I'll also include a small booklet with tips and tricks on how to use the contents of the kit.

  • The kits are designed for crafters and for personal use rather than commercial use. This means they can be used on items you make - cards, scrap book pages etc - and then sold or given away, however you cannot sell the kits themselves or any of the contents of the kit in any shape or form. If you want to use the patterns, stamps and/or frames in a commercial context, contact me and I am sure we can come to some arrangement. A detailed policy will be posted later this month.

  • The kits will be available directly through this blog or in my new Etsy shop once I've set it up. :-)

I'll post some sneak previews soon.
